| This log bed has 4 1/2' - 5' tall log headboard posts and 3' tall log footboard posts. This rustic frame has flat, blue pine side rails which bolt into the headboard and footboard and wood cross piece sit on the side rails to support the mattress and box foundation. This bed has a light lacquer finish. This aspen wood comes from an aspen grove in western Montana where everything is big and beautiful! The aspen that is used in these beds has great color to it with lots of dark, light and some reddish brown. Worm tracks can sometimes be seen in some of the pieces that we use and that always adds some extra character. We like to leave alot of knots and small pieces of branches, where we can, as this adds to the unique look of the bed. These are AWESOME looking beds and are sure to be the focal point in a room. This rustic bed is offered in a twin, full , queen or king size and all standard mattress sets fit into the frame. Please specify if you need a California king, there's no additional charge.
